Who you are buying from
The Graphic Lab is a trading name of Darren Kelly Motorsport Limited, New Zealand. These terms cover products ordered through this shop. Bespoke design, installation, websites and marketing services are covered by a separate written scope. Contact our team through the contact form.
Your New Zealand consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable New Zealand law. This includes custom-made goods. A proof approval does not waive your rights if the goods are faulty, do not match the agreed specification or are otherwise legally non-compliant.
Orders and prices
Shop prices are in New Zealand dollars. Where a price is displayed “+ GST”, the GST-inclusive amount is shown alongside it, and the cart shows delivery, GST and the full amount payable before payment. One cart item covers one design and its stated quantity. Quantity discounts apply to that design, not unrelated artworks. Reorders are priced at current rates.
Review your dimensions, quantities, materials, artwork and delivery details before ordering. Payment confirms your purchase, subject to the artwork and proof process below. Approved account customers can instead submit an order on account; we invoice these orders separately through our accounts system on the terms agreed with that customer. The downloadable order summary is not a tax invoice. A PO reference can be supplied with the order or added later. A design-help request is an enquiry rather than a paid order; we agree any design fee and final specification before proceeding. We will not charge extra amounts or substitute materials without your agreement.
If a genuine pricing error, unsuitable file or production limitation prevents us fulfilling an order, we will contact you with the options. You may decline a changed price or specification and receive a refund for the unfulfilled order.
Artwork, dimensions and proofs
You confirm that you have permission to reproduce the artwork you provide, including logos, photographs and fonts. You grant us permission to store and reproduce it as needed to prepare, fulfil and support your order. Your upload does not give us permission to use it in our marketing.
Vector artwork is preferred. Automatic sizing measures the file’s available artboard, page or image boundaries, which may include blank margins. Check the displayed width and height. We check the production file and ask you to approve the final proof before manufacture. Proofs confirm layout, spelling, dimensions and cut shape. Screen colours are an indication, not an exact physical colour match; tell us before production if a specific colour match is essential.
Basic file checking is included. Redrawing, new designs and substantial changes are separately agreed. Production starts only after proof approval and either payment or acceptance on an approved customer account. Delays in supplying suitable artwork or approving a proof may change the dispatch estimate.
Suitability and application
Products are supplied for their agreed purpose and specification. Tell us about unusual surfaces or conditions before ordering so we can advise on suitability. Boat and DIY graphics are supplied with application tape for suitable, clean surfaces; below-waterline use, complex curves and full wraps require separate advice. Installation is not included unless expressly agreed. Follow the application and care instructions supplied. Your statutory rights remain unchanged.
Delivery, changes and cancellations
See our delivery and returns information. Contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel. Before production we will explain any reasonable costs already incurred and agree how to proceed. Once custom production has started, we generally cannot accept a change-of-mind cancellation. This does not remove remedies for faults, incorrect goods or other legal failures.
Accounts and website use
Guest checkout is available. An account helps you access linked orders, reuse artwork and save delivery details. Keep your password and access to your email secure, and never share verification codes. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not upload unlawful material, impersonate another person, interfere with the website or attempt to access someone else’s records. We may restrict misuse while preserving your rights relating to paid orders.
Resolving concerns
Contact us with your order reference and a description or photographs of the issue. We will assess it and work with you on the appropriate remedy. New Zealand law applies; you may use available consumer complaint and dispute-resolution processes. Changes to these terms apply to future orders, not retrospectively to a purchase already made.
